The LandShark Pro 2010 will take place April 14-18 at the world-famous New Smyrna Inlet surf break, on the south side of Florida's Ponce De Leon Inlet, Volusia County.

LandShark lager, brewed by Margaritaville Brewing Co., will again be the title sponsor of the contest.

The tournament is the second LandShark Pro at The Inlet at New Smyrna beach which was named in the July 2009 issue of Surfer Magazine as one of the Top Ten Surf Towns in North America. The Inaugural LandShark Pro was hailed as the Best New Contest/Epic Event in the January 2010 issue of Eastern Surf Magazine.

According to media analysts over 4 million consumers saw, heard or read about last year's event through extensive television, magazine, social media and online sources throughout the year. Video footage of last year's event was featured during Buffet's SummerzCool Concert Series.

New Smyrna is home to such outstanding talent as brothers Eric and Evan Geiselman, Devon Tresher, brothers Nils and Noah Schweizer, Jeremy Johnston, and the reigning LandShark Pro Champion, Aaron Cormican. Other East Coast phenoms such as Asher Nolan, Jesse Heilman, and Shea Lopez are expected to surf in this year's LandShark Pro as is Wesley Toth from Puerto Rico. The gauntlet has been thrown down to West Coast Surfers to challenge the East Coast stronghold in this year's LandShark Pro. A Limited Edition Competitor t-shirt is included with every entry. The Event is scheduled during a lull in Surfing Events world-wide enabling a large contingent of both Professional and Amateur Surfers to compete in the event. Professional judges will be using the BeachByte Computer Scoring system upholding the industry standard.

Plans for the five day event include live music with nationally known bands (TBA), autograph sessions, as well as beachwear and bikini fashion shows. A built-in five day waiting period ensures time for extras on the beach, making this year's LandShark not only a well run and professional surf contest, but a beach festival unrivalled on the sand. Expression Sessions will go off as waves and timing allow.

Entry fee for the contest will be $135 for a share of the $20,000 purse.

On-line entries will close at 5pm EST, Sunday April 11, 2020. Late entries after that date will only be at the contest site, if available.
